What is on the Home screen?
Everything that needs you today. Nothing that doesn’t.
Your session card at the top, a field for catching a word, the words you captured most recently, a note from your tutor, how many words you have reviewed, and your streak counter. It is the screen you land on every day.

Home is built around three cards and your study count, and they always belong to the language pair you have selected. The flag at the top right tells you which one that is; tap it to switch.
The session card
The card at the top offers you the next thing to study. A line above the word tells you why it is there: Do you remember? for a word coming back around, New word for you for one you have not studied yet. Tap the word itself to see its card.
Underneath sits the button that starts the session. It names the size rather than the streak, so it reads Practice 10 Words or Practice 5 Minutes, whichever mode you used last. The button turns orange while today’s streak is still open and goes back to blue once you have secured the day.
While a study filter is on, the button splits in two. The right-hand half reads Filter and opens the Filter sheet right there, so you can change your next session without leaving Home. It is the same filter the Study tab uses, so a change here shows up there. With no filter on, the button stays whole, and you set a filter in the Study tab.
The capture field
Below it is a single field for catching a word. Type or paste a word, a phrase or a whole sentence and press return; there is no separate button. The chip under the field reads Input in English, or whichever language you are typing in, and tapping it switches to the other side of your pair. The microphone next to it takes dictation instead.
It is the same field you get on the Words screen, so it makes no difference which one you use. The one on Home has something Words does not: the words you added recently drift past underneath as small chips. Tap one to open it.

The tip card
The last card is headed A thought. Usually it is a short note from your tutor. While a language pair still has fewer than three words of your own, it welcomes you and points you to the starter set instead, and when there is no note it offers a general study tip.
You can switch the tutor’s notes off, choose the language they are written in and pick their tone in Settings – Study. With the notes off, the card keeps showing study tips.
On the first day after a streak has ended, the tutor mentions it once, and reminds you that a milestone you reached is still yours.
Words reviewed
At the bottom of Home, Words reviewed counts the cards you have answered in this language pair: Today, over the last 30 days, and in Total.
