Which study tricks are worth knowing?
Short answer
Tap the timer to pause a session measured in minutes, long-press the text on a card to fix it without leaving the session, and try Hands-Free Mode at least once.
- Light / Dark: Two phone thumbnails pick the look. They are dimmed and inert while Automatic is on, so switch that off first.
Automatic: Follows your iPhone’s settings. Switch it off and Vokabulo returns to the last Light or Dark choice you made by hand.

When Automatic is on, Vokabulo follows your device's Light / Dark setting.
- Take a Breather: In "Minutes" mode, just tap the timer at the top to pause the clock.
- Edit on the Fly: Spot a typo or a weird translation? Long-press the text on the flashcard to edit or delete it right there, without leaving your flow.
- Try the Hands-Free Mode: It’s just great.
