What is the First Steps tour?

Short answer

A welcome card and six short steps that walk you through the app while your first words are being prepared in the background. Tap Show me around, then move at your own pace with Next and Back. The last card has a two-minute video recap.

The quickest way to get the lay of the land: after a welcome card, six short steps walk you through the app while your first words are being prepared in the background.

The last card holds a two-minute video that goes through all of it again, for whenever you want a recap. Start on Home closes the tour.

Once the tour is finished, Home switches to your daily view: a session to jump straight into and a note from your tutor.

The sample set is your starter pack for getting to know Vokabulo quickly.

If you would like to explore the settings, tap the profile picture at the top left of the Home screen.

You can fill your library in five ways:

  • Browse Sets: Adopt a ready-made vocabulary list that fits your goals.
  • Enter words manually: Add words directly in the Words section.
  • Create a Scene: Generate vocabulary for specific real-life contexts using Scenes.
  • Import words: Bring in a word list you already have, from an Excel or CSV file or an Anki deck. See Import a word list.
  • Receive from others: Get words shared by other users through the Sharing function.
