What do I have to do to keep my streak alive?
Complete at least 10 cards in your active languages before midnight.
To keep your streak alive, you must complete at least 10 cards for your active languages before midnight.
The ten do not have to come in one sitting. Three short sessions of four cards check the day in just as well, because the count runs across everything you answer that day. It resets at midnight and nothing carries over to tomorrow.
When the timer runs out first
Set a session in minutes and the clock can run down while you are still short of the ten. Vokabulo does not end the session there. The timer at the top turns into a flame counting what is left, 3 more to secure streak, and the session carries on until the day is safe. It never asks for more than the cards you still owe, and it stops the moment you have them.
This only happens when the day is genuinely at stake: not when the streak is paused, not on a language you have switched off for streaks, and not once you have already checked in. Pause is unavailable during those extra cards, so finish them or stop the session.
