How does Vokabulo pronounce my words?
Short answer
With high-quality voices rather than robotic ones. Pick your favourite voice separately for each language in Settings, under Voices.
Vokabulo uses high-quality voices to make listening and repeating feel natural rather than robotic. You choose your favourite voice for each language in Settings – Voices.
In your Words list, a word with a context sentence carries a speaker button that reads that sentence aloud. Long-press it to choose where the sound goes, and the icon changes to show the current output.
Good to know
The button is hidden while you are offline because the voices are generated for you rather than stored on the phone.
