How do I edit a word I already saved?
Short answer
Tap the word to open the edit dialog. The translation, the context and the spelling are all yours to change, at any time.
Your collection is yours. You can edit entries any time to tweak a translation, fix a spelling or refine the context.
Tap a word to open it. It opens read-only, so you can check it without any risk of changing it.
The screen is in three parts. WORD holds the term and your translation. SENTENCE holds the example and its translation. Underneath, a row collects everything else the word carries: its usage labels, its tags, and a Level chip showing where it sits on the learning ladder.
- The pencil in the top right starts editing, and the green checkmark saves.
- While you are editing, a small bar above the keyboard tells you which field you are in, as
WORD · 1 OF 4. Arrows step you through all four without reaching for the screen. - The row underneath opens up as well, so you can change the tags and the usage labels from here. The
Levelchip is for information only. - The trash icon deletes the word after a confirmation. That cannot be undone.
Both fields on the word side have to hold something before the checkmark will save.
