Vokabulo

How do I manage my languages?

Short answer

Under Languages. Switch pair, set your proficiency (which decides whether the AI writes you tourist basics or native nuance), and pick the flag or icon you like. The tutor now lives in Settings – Study.

Manage the languages you are learning here.

  • Current Language Pair: Tap to switch focus. The row only reacts when you have more than one pair.
  • Proficiency: Crucial, and it reaches further than you might think: it sets how hard your example sentences are, in Scenes, in translations, in blog glossaries and in what your tutor writes. A new pair starts at B2. This is your own level in the language, from A1 to C2, and it is a different thing from the Level on a word card, which says how well you know that one word.
  • Language Flag: Choose your icon. Not every language fits neatly into one country’s flag, so you can swap for a globe or a different icon.
  • Export / Import: Export is open to everyone and always writes a CSV; import needs Pro and takes CSV or Excel. Export covers whatever your current filter and search leave on screen, so clear both first for a full backup. Usage labels travel with the file, in a column of their own.
  • Reset Learning Progress: Reset your progress to zero. Useful when somebody else has been using your Vokabulo.
  • Delete Pair: Warning: This permanently wipes all data for this specific language pair.
